International Olympic Committee sanctions Turkish Olympic boxer for anti-doping breach
The International Olympic Committee (IOC) has sanctioned three athletes, including Turkish boxer Adem Kılıççı and two Russian athletes, for failing anti-doping tests, saying on Feb. 1 the athletes had been disqualified from the 2012 London Olympics.
Devetzi stripped of bronze medal from Beijing 2008 Games
The International Olympic Committee (IOC) confirmed on Thursday that Greek triple jumper Pigi Devetzi is being stripped of the bronze medal she won at the 2008 Beijing Olympics.
"Reanalysis of Devetzi's samples from Beijing 2008 resulted in a positive test for the prohibited substance stanozolol," said the IOC.
