Summer Youth Olympics

Young athletes hold the Argentinean and Olympic flags during the lighting ceremony for the flame that will travel to the Buenos Aires 2018 Youth Olympics (October 1-6), at the Panathenaic Stadium in Athens Tuesday. The ceremony was shorter than usual as a mark of respect for those who died in the wildfires near Athens.

In a post on Sunday on his Facebook page, Prime Minister Victor Ponta wishes good luck to the Romanian delegation competing in the 2014 Summer Youth Olympics going on in Nanjing, China.

The Olympic Flame lit again on Wednesday in Athens for the 2014 Youth Olympic Games to take place in Nanjing, China this August, as the weather at the Panathenaic Stadium was kind enough to ensure a glorious ceremony for the people attending, including several hundreds of schoolchildren.
