The winter sales window opens on Monday across Greece, and will stay open up to Tuesday, February 28.
Stores can also open this coming Sunday, January 15, as on the first Sunday of every sales period.

The "Bright" Week begins
Serbian Orthodox Church and the faithful celebrate the second day of Easter, popularly called Holy Monday. This day also marks the beginning of a "Bright" Week, or Renewal Week. It is the period of seven days beginning on Easter and continuing up to (but not including) the following Sunday, which is known as Thomas Sunday.

Bulgaria Turned the Clock Back an Hour
On the night of Saturday against Sunday, October 31 at 4 o'clock in the morning we returned to winter time. At 4 o'clock on Sunday night, the clocks were turned back an hour.
In March 2019, the European Parliament voted to abolish the seasonal shift. Member States shall decide whether to switch to full daylight saving time.

Days after Easter Are the Bright Week, Rejoice!
On Easter Sunday the atmosphere of the Church switches gears, and instead of a focusing on death and sorrow, the Church is alive and resplendent with joy. Jesus is risen!
This is emphasized in a particular in many Eastern Churches. The week following Easter Sunday is called "Bright Week," and refers to the light that Jesus has brought into the world.

Thessaloniki death brings coronavirus toll to 115
The death of a 74-year-old man at the AHEPA University Hospital in Thessaloniki, northern Greece, took the country's coronavirus toll to 115 on Monday afternoon.
According to unconfirmed reports, the man had not been suffering from any underlying health issues when he was hospitalized with Covid-19, the disease caused by the novel coronavirus.

Vucic announced: Curfew from 5 pm on Friday, to 5 am on Tuesday
This means that the curfew in Serbia will last 84 hours during the Easter holiday.
This information was announced and confirmed by President Aleksandar Vucic, while being hosted in RTS.
As he said, the decision will be made soon.
"Citizens will be able to go to the shops and buy groceries for Good Friday, while Monday and Tuesday are non-working days anyway".
Easter without cars put on the table
Endeavoring to ensure that Greece stays the course in the battle to contain the spread of Covid-19 during the holiday season, the government is not ruling out the possibility of a ban on the circulation of cars from Saturday at 8 p.m. through Easter Sunday.
