Mother and child hit by car in Thessaloniki

A woman and her child were hit by a car on Papanikolaou Avenue, in western Thessaloniki, on Thursday. 

The accident occurred in the Pefka area under unknown circumstances, shortly after 1:00 pm.

An ambulance transported the woman and her child to Papageorgiou hospital. The severity of their injuries is not yet clear.

Gov’t express concern over ICC arrest warrant bid for Netanyahu

Government spokesperson Pavlos Marinakis expressed Athens' concern over the ICC prosecutor's arrest warrant bid for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, in a press brief, on Thursday. 

According to Marinakis, the Greek government questions whether this decision serves conflict resolution efforts in the Middle East.

Economists in KEFiM poll agree with government’s decision to slash bank charges

Approximately nine out of ten members of the Greek Panel of Economists at KEFiM, the Athens-based Markos Dragoumis Center for Liberal Studies, agree with the government's decision to slash bank charges on electronic transactions and POS, 

Out of 25 Greek economists asked by the panel in February, 88% agreed with the government slashing bank charges, while only 12% disagreed.
