New traffic code proposes 30 km/h speed limit in urban areas

The new Greek traffic code proposes a 30 km/h speed limit in urban areas to enhance road safety, particularly for pedestrians and cyclists, reduce noise and improve air quality. The idea, inspired by the Stockholm Declaration on Global Road Safety (2020), is supported by the UN, WHO and global campaigns like #Love30.

Sofia Rolls Out Retro Christmas Tram for Holiday Fun

Starting from December 17 and running through December 25, Sofia Municipality is operating a festive retro Christmas tram. The tram will be running daily from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM, with departures every hour from Vazrazhdane Square. BMW Collides with Tram in Sofia, Causing Derailment

A car collided with a tram in Sofia on the evening of November 26, causing the tram to derail. The incident occurred at the intersection of Alexander Pushkin and Tsar Boris III boulevards, according to the Emergency Medical Care Center, as reported by the Bulgarian National Radio. The crash took place around 7:30 p.m. in the Pavlovo district, near the tram tracks.

Number of EVs on Türkiye’s roads exceeds 150,000

Downtown driving curbs return

Traffic restrictions aimed at reducing congestion and pollution in downtown Athens will resume on Monday after the summer break. The "daktylios" system limits entry based on license plate numbers: Cars with even-numbered plates can enter on even days, while odd-numbered plates are allowed in on odd days.
