Government sets up National Council for Tourism Development
The government passed on Thursday the decision to set up the National Council for Tourism Development of the Republic of Serbia.
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications Rasim Ljajic has been appointed as the Council's chairperson.
Serbian minister lays groundwork for Erdogan's visit
Deputy Serbian Prime Minister and Minister of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications Rasim Ljajic is in Ankara on Friday, the government has announced.
Ljajic traveled to Ankara within "preparations for the upcoming visit of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan to the Republic of Serbia."

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications Rasim Ljajic spoke on Thursday with EU Delegation to Serbia head Sam Fabrizi.
Their conversation concerned "Serbia’s membership in the World Trade Organization (WTO) and the strengthening of regional economic cooperation," the Serbian government announced.
Serbian minister embarks on 3-day visit to China
Deputy PM and Minister of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications Rasim Ljajic is visiting China from Friday until Monday, the government has announced.
Ljajic will open the Silk Road International Exposition in Xi'an, in China's Shaanxi province, where Serbia is a special guest and a partner country.

Serbia's Ljajic to travel to Turkey for official visit
Deputy PM and Minister of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications Rasim Ljajic will on February 28 and March 1 be on an official visit to Turkey.
Ljajic will meet with Turkish Prime Minister Binali Yildirim, the Serbian government announced on Monday.
"Concrete steps" to bring more Chinese tourists to Serbia
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications Rasim Ljajic met on Monday with Chinese Ambassador to Serbia Li Manchang.
They discussed "concrete steps to increase the number of Chinese tourists in Serbia," the Serbian government said on its website, citing a statement issued by Ljajic's cabinet
Serbians can now travel to 64 countries without visas - MFA
The visa policy of the Republic of Serbia was discussed in a meeting held in Belgrade on Tuesday, the Serbian government announced.
"Record foreign currency inflow from tourism"
Rasim Ljajic said on Wednesday that 2016 was "one of the most successful for Serbian tourism."
A record inflow of foreign exchange in the amount one billion euros has been generated this year, said the minister of trade, tourism and telecommunications, who also serves as a deputy PM.

"High-speed internet in every household by 2020"
Every household in Serbia should have access to "high-speed internet" by 2020, which would raise the GDP by 1-1.5 percent.
That's according to Minister of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications Rasim Ljajic, who spoke on Tuesday.

Serbia and Bosnia to have joint office in Istanbul
Serbia and Bosnia-Herzegovina will open a joint representative office for trade and tourism in Istanbul on Wednesday.
Serbian Deputy PM and Minister of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications Rasim Ljajic announced this after a meeting of a trilateral trade committee set up by Turkey, Serbia and Bosnia-Herzegovina.
