The Suzhou Kun Opera Theater of Jiangsu Province in China comes to Athens's Herod Atticus on the invitation of the Greek Festival and as part of a program of cultural exchanges between the two countries, with the opera "The Peony Pavilion." Written by Tang Xianzu, this tribute to the 16th century Chinese Kun Opera form is a tale of love and tragedy. The performance starts at 9 p.m.

An explosion killed at least 65 people and injured more than 120 at a factory in China that makes wheels for U.S. carmakers, including General Motors, state media said, as the country suffered its worst industrial accident in a year. 

An explosion at a factory in eastern China has killed at least 65 people, leaving over 100 injured, according to Chinese state media.

The blast occurred on Saturday morning in a metals factory in Kunshan, a city in the eastern province of Jiangsu, China's official Xinhua news agency said.
