Pogačar wins world road race bronze
Tadej Pogačar won bronze for Slovenia in the road race at the UCI Cycling World Championships in Glasgow on 6 August in what he described as a "sprint of the living dead".
Despite crashing while leading the race, Dutch rider Mathieu van der Poel managed to remount his bike and pull away to win the rainbow jersey, finishing 37 seconds clear of Belgian Wout van Aert in second.

Pogačar comes back to win penultimate stage of Tour
Tadej Pogačar won stage 20 in the Tour de France on 22 July to come out on top after a week that cost him the third title and included, as he put it, one of the worst days of his life on the bike. Dane Jonas Vingegaard will arrive in Paris in yellow, and Pogačar is set to finish second since tomorrow's stage is just a procession ride.
Pogačar bounces back to win stage 6 of Tour de France
Slovenian rider Tadej Pogačar bounced back from a bad day in the first mountain test in the Pyrenees in this year's Tour de France to claim a solo victory in stage 6 and to climb to second spot overall. The defending champion Jonas Vingegaard put on the yellow jersey.
Pogačar returns to competition in style
Two-time Tour de France winner Tadej Pogačar returned to competition in style after suffering a wrist fracture in April. He was in a league of his own in the national championship time trial on 22 June, finishing more than five minutes ahead of his nearest rival.

Deep pool of favourites at the Tour of Slovenia
The 29th Tour of Slovenia, the country's biggest road cycling event, kicks off in Celje on 14 June. The five-day race will not feature the No. 1 rider in the world, Slovenia's Tadej Pogačar, but the pool of favourites will be bigger than in recent years.

Tadej Pogačar world’s No.1 rider for 100 weeks
Slovenian rider Tadej Pogačar, two-times Tour de France winner, remains No. 1 in the world, topping the UCI men's road cycling world ranking for a continuos 90 weeks and 100 weeks in total.
Pogačar (UAE Team Emirates) has recently recovered from a wrist injury he sustained when he fell during the Liege-Bastogne-Liege race.

Roglič raises Giro trophy in Rome
Primož Roglič raised the Giro d'Italia 2023 trophy in Rome on 28 May after securing the victory in the time trial up the Monte Lussari just across the Slovenian border in the penultimate stage to take the pink jersey away from Brit Geraint Thomas.

Pogačar wins Flanders for Monuments glory
Slovenian rider Tadej Pogačar (UAE Team Emirates) won the Tour of Flanders on 2 April, his fourth victory at long one-day races known as Monuments.
The two-time Tour de France winner won the race with a solo attack in the last twenty kilometres on the 274-kilometre race to finish 17 seconds ahead of last year's winner Mathieu van der Poel.

Pogačar claims yellow jersey halfway through Paris-Nice
Slovenian cycling star Tadej Pogačar (Team Emirates) won stage four of the Paris-Nice race on 8 March, climbing to the top of the overall ranking of the eight-stage race after starting the day off in tenth place.
Pogačar won the stage in a battle with the French David Gaudu (Groupama-FDJ) and the Swiss Gino Mäder (Bahrain-Victorious) on a climb before the finish line.
French hopes flagging on Tour de ‘Lose’
Regional newspaper Le Progres groaned over the long wait for a home Tour de France stage winner this weekend with the scathing headline "Blue, Blanc, Lose," a play on the French tri-color using lose instead of Rouge.
