TransAsia engines failed before crash: aviation authority
Both engines on the TransAsia plane that crashed in Taiwan this week failed before the ATR 72-600 plummeted into a river, investigators said Friday as the death toll rose to at least 35.

A TransAsia plane crashed into a river near Taiwan's capital Taipei on Wednesday, leaving at least twelve people dead.
The aircraft was conducting a domestic flight from Taipei to the Kinmen islands, when it lost contact with flight controllers shortly after take-off, the BBC reports.
The plane had 58 people on board, the majority of whom were tourists from mainland China.
