US Plans to Complete Evacuation by 31st August Despite Pleas from Allies to Extend Deadline

On August 24, the United States must complete its evacuation of people from Afghanistan by August 31. As per the Taliban spokesperson, there will be no extension for US evacuation in Afghanistan. However, they have to evacuate American troops set by the Biden Administration. Moreover, he said the country is running towards success but chaos at the airport causing disaster.

He said that "due to the chaotic situation", the Taliban no longer allow Afghan citizens to go to the airport in Kabul.
"We are working to help, but unfortunately, the Americans are still continuing their policy and trying to get the Afghans out of the country and take them to an uncertain future," Mujahid said.

The U.S. military pulled off its biggest day of evacuation flights out of Afghanistan by far on Aug. 23, but deadly violence that has blocked many desperate evacuees from entering Kabul's airport persisted, and the Taliban signaled they might soon seek to shut down the airlifts.
