Consignment notes to become digital

The tax administration is proceeding with the activation of the digital consignment note in the near future, with which the forwarding of all products will be monitored.

The digital waybill will allow, in real time, the inspection mechanism to know where a product originated and where it will go.

Overhaul in tax office operation

After many decades of endless queues, frustration and bickering, the end of the tax office - at least as we know it - has come.

The main idea of the overhaul is to limit face-to-face transactions between tax officers and taxpayers unless necessary, with most procedures being conducted online.

Fuel companies liable for their gas stations

The tax administration has issued instructions to the customs control mechanism on the measures and fines they must impose in cases of fuel smuggling, and mainly on the obligations that the companies trading petroleum products and the refineries now have in relation to the gas stations, with which they do business (due diligence measures).

Is Greece reformable?

On the question of whether Greece is a country that can change, my answer is affirmative. Yes, Greece is a country where reforms can be made that improve the quality of democracy, strengthen the economy and change the lives of Greeks for the better.
