Moldova Changes Agriculture Minister Amid Drought and Farmers’ Protests

Federation of property owners attack ENFIA property tax
The Panhellenic Federation of Property Owners (POMIDA) has voiced its opposition to the ENFIA property tax and the way it is calculated, pointing out the discrepancies between the market and taxable values of real estate in the country.

Tax office is calling property owners in Greece. 6.3 million owners will have to pay in total 3.153 billion euros in property tax (ENFIA 2017) for the time between September 2017 and January 2018.
The declarations for the so-called Unified Property Tax (ENFIA) were uploaded on taxisnet on Sunday evening, a week earlier than originally scheduled.
Greece still unattractive for property sector investors
Greece remains among the least attractive destinations for foreign property buyers looking to make an investment. A list drafted by the Global Property Guide - an international provider of information for property investors - has placed this country 32nd among 36 states, as its prospects for an investor are seen as quite unattractive.

Property market rates are up to 70 pct below 'objective values'
The divergence between so-called "objective values," or property rates used for tax purposes and actual market prices, is as high as 70 percent in some cases, according to recent transaction data. It is a difference that continues to burden owners, buyers and sellers alike, even though objective values were adjusted downward a year ago.
No change to 'objective values' before 2018
The property rates used for tax purposes (known as "objective values") will not be adjusted before next year after all, and neither will the Single Property Tax (ENFIA).
