The fossil of a sea otter has been found in the Central Anatolian province of Çankırı, revealing 8 million years of animal life in the area.

The excavations, headed by Professor Ayla Sevim Erol of the Anthropology Department at Ankara University, have been ongoing in the area for the last 17 years.

Three men and two women, aged between 24 and 32, have been arrested in Arta, northwestern Greece, for stealing 70 kilos of sea bream from a fish farm in Vigla.

The five suspects allegedly drove from Messsolonghi, where they live, and loaded up the fish onto a trailer.

The 65-year-old fish farm owner alerted police, who arrested the suspects in Arta.

A German Zoo has sent three griffon vultures to Bulgaria, in a push to reintroduce the birds to reintroduce them into one of their natural habitats.
