Turkish prosecutor files summary of proceedings against top CHP official for 'insulting Erdo?an'

A Turkish prosecutor has filed a summary of proceedings against Republican People's Party (CHP) Secretary-General Gürsel Tekin for insulting President Recep Tayyip Erdo?an during a Jan. 15 press briefing in which he strongly criticized the detentions of academics who signed a petition calling for an end to military operations in southeast Turkey. 

Turkey's first Kurdish-language search engine goes online

Turkey's first search engine in the Kurdish language has gone online after five years of technical work, research and development.

The search engine, called "Sekretin" - meaning success in Kurdish - will also have a video-sharing website in the next few months, its manager Serdar Anu?tekin told the state-run Anadolu Agency in the southeastern province of Diyarbak?r on Nov. 5.     

Police raids in 19 provinces, 20 detained as 'parallel state' investigation intensifies

Turkish police raided multiple locations on May 22 in at least 19 provinces, while carrying out a ?parallel structure? investigation, detaining as many as 20 people, including several businessmen and a former police chief. Raids have mostly been centered in Konya, a central Anatolian province.

Turkey's Energy Minister denies CHP allegations of impending military intervention in Syria

One detained over alleged link to murder of three Turks in Finland

Police have detained a Turkish national in the central Finnish town of Laukaa, as part of an investigation into the murder of three Turks in a local restaurant.

A Turkish-Finnish couple who owned a pizza restaurant in Laukaa, Aziz and Asiye ?ekersöz, as well as a waitress working there, Kübra Turan, were shot dead on March 1, local police announced.
