Telecom Firm Insists it is Helping Macedonia Wiretap Probe
As Macedonia's Special Prosecution, SJO, struggles to trawl the servers of Macedonian Telecom/Makedonski Telekom in search of evidence of unlawful wiretapping, Deutsche Telecom - its parent company - told Deutsche Welle in Bonn that allegations of non-cooperation with the search are untrue.
TAIPED to receive OTE's 5 percent stake for utilization
The state's 5 percent stake in OTE telecom is to be transferred from the Finance Ministry to state sell-off fund TAIPED as early as on Friday.
The only matter that remains outstanding is the decision of the ministerial committee for restructuring and privatizations for the transfer of those 24,507,520 shares.

Minister confirms six bids arrived for Telekom
Rasim Ljajic on Monday announced that that six bids had arrived for the privatization of the state-owned telecommunications company Telekom Srbija.
But the minister of trade and communications, speaking for the provincial public broadcaster in Vojvodina, RTV, "could not say who had delivered bids to purchase a majority stake in Telekom," the Beta agency is reporting.

China Telecom interested in buying Telekom Srbija
China Telecom is interested in buying Serbia's state-owned telecommunications company Telekom Srbija (Serbia).
The first meeting has been held with representatives of this Chinese company at the Serbian government, said Tatjana Matic, state secretary at the Ministry of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications.

"Serious interest in Telekom privatization" - minister
Economy Minister Zeljko Sertic said on Tuesday there was interest in the privatization of Serbia's state-owned telecommunications company Telekom Srbija.
The list of bidders includes both companies and investment funds, he told B92.
