In an incident during Monday's parliamentary investigation into the Tempe rail crash, Zoi Konstantopoulou, leader of the Course of Freedom party, sought to put pressure on the commitee despite being excluded from speaking due to a conflict of interest.
The Tempe train collision in February 2023 resulted in the loss of 57 lives and left numerous others injured.
An anniversary devoid of answers
What could the government have announced on the first anniversary of the deadly Tempe rail crash on February 28? That the country's rail network is now safe and the ways in which this was achieved. If this was too demanding a task, it could have offered assurances that the railway is, at the very least, safer than it was.

Tempe train crash: Parties granted extension for findings submission
Political parties have been given an extension to submit their findings to the House investigative committee for "the investigation of the crime of Tempe" until midday on Sunday. The original deadline was set for Friday, March 8.
The debate in the examination committee, on the findings of the parties, will be held at noon on Monday, March 11.
Justice, Tempe, honor
The Supreme Court's intervention in the Tempe train collision investigation shows that the judiciary, at least, understands that the institutions are under the public's microscope in this case, and that it is of the greatest importance to restore citizens' faith in them.

Closing the wound
A year has passed since the tragedy at Tempe which scarred our collective soul. Like others investigative initiatives before it, the parliamentary committee assembled to probe the deadly train crash expended itself on public relations stunts; its hollow proceedings were an insult to the families of the victims and to the public as a whole, who demand answers.
