Japan protests Chinese navy sailing near disputed islands
Japan lodged a protest with China on Monday over a Chinese naval vessel sailing near disputed islands, a Japanese official said, as reports emerged of Russia also sending its own navy ship to the area.
The islets in the East China Sea, known as the Senkaku by Tokyo and the Diaoyu by Beijing, are at the centre of a long-running dispute between Japan and China.
China makes second largest Taiwan defence zone incursion this year
China has made the second largest incursion into Taiwan's air defence zone this year with Taipei reporting 30 jets entering the area, including more than 20 fighters.
Taiwan's defence ministry said late Monday it had scrambled its own aircraft and deployed air defence missile systems to monitor the latest Chinese activity.
Chinese serious warning
These measures were taken to "warn the United States", according to a statement from the Combat Command of the Eastern Zone of the People's Liberation Army of China.

India with a new delivery of S-400 from Russia
India has received a new batch of S-400 anti-aircraft missile systems from Russia, India Today reported, citing high-ranking sources.
"According to sources, the batch of S-400 missile systems was delivered by ship and is already in service. Parts of the missile system arrived by air and sea and were quickly deployed to their designated places," the newspaper said.

Taiwan rebukes China over record fighter jet incursion

India says 20 troops killed in fight with China
Twenty Indian soldiers were killed during "hand-to-hand' fighting with Chinese troops in a disputed Himalayan region, India's military said, the first deadly clash between the nuclear powers in decades.
Both sides blamed the other for June 15's violence, which followed weeks of rising tensions over their competing territorial claims, with thousands of extra troops deployed.

China warns of war in case of move toward Taiwan independence
China's defense ministry warned on July 24 that it was ready for war if there was a move toward Taiwan's independence, accusing the United States of undermining global stability and denouncing its arms sales to the self-ruled island.
