Kenya's President Uhuru Kenyatta has received massive criticism from opposition parties, political analysts and regular population on account of the untimely police reaction during the Garissa University terrorist attack.

Kenyan fighter jets bombed on Sunday positions of the militant Islamist group Al-Shabaab in Somalia in response to the recent terrorist attack carried against Garissa University College.

The military planes targeted two camps in the Gedo region, which are used by Al-Shabaab to cross into Kenya, the BBC reports.

At least 70 hostages have been killed in Thursday's attack by Islamist militants on a university campus in Kenya, the BBC reported, citing officials.

According to Kenyan authorities, at least 79 were injured while more than 500 students were rescued from the Garissa University College campus.
