ASTANA - Serbian Parliament Speaker Maja Gojkovic met with the chairman of Kazakhstan's Senate, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, in Astana on Tuesday.

They noted Gojkovic's trip to Kazakhstan was exceptionally significant as the first-ever visit by a parliament speaker, and also the first inter-parliamentary visit, in the history of the relations between the two countries.

BELGRADE - Serbian Parliament Speaker Maja Gojkovic will on Tuesday begin an official visit to the Republic of Kazakhstan at the invitation of the country's parliament during which she will meet with Kazakh officials.

Gojkovic will kick off the visit with meetings with Senate Chairman Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and top officials of the Mazhilis.
