Greece Won't Raise the Toll Taxes from July 1st
There will be no increase in toll taxes in Greece from July 1st. The Athens ministry of transport stopped the rise in prices due to a litigation with the Egnatia Odos highway maintenance company, the BNR said.

Ministry continues clash with Attiki Odos

Bulgaria’s Toll System Ready for Technical Testing as of August 16
The electronic road tolling system for vehicles weighing more than 3,5 tonnes is ready to start operating for technical tests as of 16th of August, Bulgaria's Road Infrastructure Agency said on 25th of June.
The First Tests of the Toll System in Bulgaria Began
The state expects to collect over BGN 1 billion per year, reported NOVA TV.
The first tests of the future toll system for trucks and buses started. The demonstration will take place at Lesnovo Airport.
Toll charges will take effect from 16 August and will only apply to vehicles weighing over 3 tonnes and a half. Cars will continue to run with electronic vignettes.

The construction of the toll system is scheduled and ready to be released on August 16, announced Regional Minister Petya Avramova last week. From May 15th, testing of the toll system begins in the "taxi" section based on distance traveled, she said.

Bulgarian Parliament Adopts Introduction of Toll Road System

The Parliament has adopted today final amendments to the Roads Act, which introduce a mixed system for charging different categories of motor vehicles and fees based on time and distance travelled, Focus News Agency reports. The amount of the fees will be proposed by the regional minister and the minister of finance.
GERB: Bulgarian Municipal Roads will not be Funded via Tolls
Sofia. Toll proceeds will not fund municipal roads, other options will be sought for those roads, GERB MP Aleksandar Nenkov told reporters in connection with the draft on roads, Focus News Agency reports. Nenkov explained that all proceeds from the toll system would be channelled to road maintenance, but not to municipal infrastructure.
