The United States plans to deploy long-range Tomahawk missiles in Germany, prompting Russia to put its ballistic missiles on alert in response. This decision marks the first time since the Cold War that American long-range weapons will be stationed in Germany, intended to bolster European deterrence against potential threats.

Russian President Vladimir Putin has called for the resumption of production of intermediate-range missiles that were previously banned under the now-defunct treaty with the United States, as reported by the Associated Press.

In a joint effort, the United States and the United Kingdom executed a series of strikes against Houthi targets in Yemen, marking the eighth round of attacks within the past 10 days. The latest operation, carried out on Monday, targeted the rebels' infrastructure, hitting eight specific sites. This joint action received support from Canada, the Netherlands, Bahrain, and Australia.

The United States and Britain launched new strikes on Yemen's Huthis Monday, saying their second round of joint military action against the Iran-backed rebels was in response to continued attacks on Red Sea shipping.

The UK Defense Secretary has said that Storm Shadow missiles will be supplied to the Ukrainian military - and Sky News has learned that some of the missiles are already with Ukrainian troops.
Responding to reports that such a deal had been reached, Moscow said the move would require an "adequate response from the Russian military."

The US, UK and France have launched strikes "on targets associated with the chemical weapons capabilities" in Syria, US President Donald Trump announced early on Saturday. 

The strikes come after a suspected chemical weapons attack in the former rebel stronghold of Douma last weekend.

The Ash Sha'irat military airfield near Homs in Syria has been destroyed and its aircraft damaged in US missile strikes, the airfield staffer told Sputnik on Friday.

Syrian television reports that flames continue to engulf the airfield following the attack.

"All aircraft located there have been damaged, you can say it is completely destroyed," the staffer said.

Russia's defense ministry said on March 28  it regarded U.S. naval patrols in the Black Sea as a potential threat to its safety because it was unclear what kind of missiles the ships were carrying, the RIA news agency reported.

The U.S. military launched cruise missile strikes on Oct. 13 to knock out three coastal radar sites in areas of Yemen controlled by Iran-aligned Houthi forces, retaliating after failed missile attacks this week on a U.S. Navy destroyer, U.S. officials said. 

Poland is seeking to obtain Tomahawk cruise missiles from the United States or another country, Defense Minister Tomasz Siemoniak said on March 12.

The government considers Poland's security challenged by the armed conflict in neighboring Ukraine, which also involves another neighbor, Russia.
