Broadway's Iconic 'Phantom of the Opera' Set to Enchant Bulgarian Audiences
The iconic musical "The Phantom of the Opera" by Andrew Lloyd Webber is heading to Sofia for an enchanting series of performances. BG Sound Stage, the organizers, announced six shows scheduled at Sofia's National Palace of Culture from April 11 to 14.
'The Phantom of the Opera' closes after 35 years
The final curtain came down on April 16 on New York's production of "The Phantom of the Opera," ending Broadway's longest-running show with thunderous standing ovations, champagne toasts and gold and silver confetti bursting from its famous chandelier.

‘Man of La Mancha’ by IDOB
The Istanbul State Opera and Ballet (IDOB) will make the premiere of its musical 'Man of La Mancha' on May 24 at the Zorlu PSM. Composed by Mitch Leigh, the musical was first performed in Broadway in 1965. It will also be on the Turkish stage on May 25, 28, 29 and 30.

Turkish musical at Zorlu PSM
‘Fiddler on The Roof,’ based on the ‘Tevye and his Daughters’ tale written in the Yiddish language and one of the shows running on Broadway, will make its premiere at Zorlu PSM on Jan 2, 2018. The show will continue on Jan 3, 25 and 26.

Midler big winner at Tony Awards
"Dear Evan Hansen," a musical about teen angst that focuses on a high school outsider, won the top prize at the Tony Awards, Broadway highest honors, on June 11 while J.T. Rogers' Mideast peace accord drama "Oslo" was named best play.

'Cats' Musical To Be Staged at Sofia's NDK
On May 11th, 12th, 13th ( two performances) and 14th (two performances), 2017, CATS will be on stage at hall no. 1 of the National Palace of Culture (NDK).
A team of more than 100 dancers, actors, technicians and managers will be coming to Sofia for this one. Seven trucks will drive all the way down here, transporting the décor and costumes.

Helen Mirren, musical 'Fun Home' wins top Tony Awards
