Government unveils plan for new traffic camera system

The government on Thursday unveiled a new plan to install advanced traffic cameras nationwide to improve road safety and enforce traffic laws more effectively. The initiative seeks to reduce the number of accidents, particularly in urban areas where traffic fatalities have risen despite improvements in highway safety. 

Thessaloniki: Over 1,100 violations issued in one day by traffic police

Over 1,100 violations were confirmed yesterday, September 19, in various areas of Thessaloniki, by police officers of the Traffic Directorate.

Specifically, according to an announcement by the General Police Directorate of Thessaloniki, police officers carried out vehicle checks and confirmed a total of 1,133 violations

New High-Speed Patrol Cars Boost Bulgarian Traffic Police Fleet

The Bulgarian traffic police have received 86 new patrol cars, part of a larger delivery that will total 420 vehicles by the end of the year. Some of these cars are high-speed models, designated for monitoring traffic on the busiest sections of the the first-class road network and motorways.

Bus with Children Crashed in Northern Bulgaria, 10 People Injured

A passenger minibus had an accident at the junction for Apriltsi, on the road between the villages of Bulgarene and Malinovo, Lovech region.

According to preliminary information, the driver of Ford Transit, carrying a group of 8 children and their companion, did not respect the advantage and hit a car, the Interior Ministry said. All passengers are from Cherven Bryag.
