Naked Man Stopped the Traffic on Bld ''Bulgaria'' in Sofia

A naked man stopped the traffic during a rush hour of the Sofia boulevard "Bulgaria" in the area of the Textile School minutes before 7 am this morning. He literally sat down on the roadway, reported bTV.

Fortunately, there was no accident. There is a police car and a medical team. They have managed to displace the visually inadequate man on the sidewalk.

Car Accident on the Burgas-Varna Road

Car crash on the Varna-Burgas road in the area of the village of Staro Oryahovo hampered the traffic in both directions, the Varna police reported.

The incident took place at 11.15 am about a kilometer before Staro Oryahovo in the direction of Varna. According to the initial data, four cars were involved in the accident, three citizens were taken to the hospital.

Thousands of 'dangerous' traffic violations recorded over past two weeks

Traffic Police recorded a total of 7,510 "dangerous" traffic violations across the country in the past two weeks, according to a statement issued on Tuesday.

Violations deemed to be dangerous include running a red light, driving in the opposite direction to the flow of traffic, not wearing a seat belt, not wearing a crash helmet and speeding.

Bulgarian MPs Adopted Changes to the Road Traffic Act at First Reading

On 14th of June, the Bulgarian Parliament adopted at first reading the amendments to the Road Traffic Act with the votes of GERB, Bulgarian socialist Party (BSP) and United Patriots. The Movement for Rights and Freedoms (MRF) and Volya party abstained, reported BNT. 

The law provides for removing the signs that warn drivers for speed cameras on the road.

Parts of Ionia Odos highway in western Greece to be closed on Monday

Traffic measures will be in effect from 8 a.m. until 8 p.m. on Monday on the Ionia Odos highway, running down the country's western coast from Ioannina to the northern Peloponnese town of Pyrgos.

The northbound section of the highway will be closed to all vehicles, as will the left lane of the southbound section.

Heavy Traffic Expected Today

A serious traffic is expected on the main roads in Bulgaria today - on the last holiday day after St. George's Day, reported Dnevnik.

The traffic will eventually be heavier than on the May 1 because many Bulgarian people merged the two vacations together. The traffic police forces and the Traffic Infrastructure Agency organized the traffic so as to be easier.
