A 14-year-old boy was hit by a tram on Monday afternoon in Glyfada, southern Athens, sustaining minor injuries.

The accident reportedly occurred around 4.30 p.m. as the teen tried to cross to tracks while the train was in motion. 

Sofia is set to undergo significant infrastructural changes this year and in 2025, leading to the closure of several key boulevards. Andrey Zografski from the WCC-DB-SS group indicated that the city must significantly increase repair efforts to address its outdated infrastructure.

A 15-year-old riding a scooter was hit by a tram Wednesday afternoon in Nea Smyrni, Athens, on Eleftheriou Venizelou Street.

He suffered minor head injuries and was taken to a children's hospital.

Tram service between Athens and Faliro has been suspended. Authorities are investigating the incident.

The Mayor of Sofia, Vasil Terziev, unveiled plans for a comprehensive overhaul of urban transportation in the city, extending beyond the current municipal administration's tenure. Terziev announced the initiative during a briefing today, highlighting that the program's budget would exceed BGN 1 billion, with implementation spread out until 2030.

Six tourists sustained minor injuries in downtown Athens on Monday afternoon after a wire detached from a trolley bus and struck the top floor of a double-decker tour bus. 

None of the injured individuals came into contact with electricity, and the incident resulted in only minor material damage. 

An ambulance quickly responded to the scene.
