A 60-year-old foreign national was arrested Friday afternoon the island of Corfu on an outstanding European arrest warrant issued by the prosecutor's office in Naples, Italy, for his involvement in a criminal organization and financial crimes, Greek police said Saturday.

"The committee analyzed possible threats, such as the dislocation of units of the Wagner group. Therefore, the Minister of National Defense, the chairman of the Committee, Mariusz Baszczak, decided to move our military formations from the west to the east of Poland," Hoffmann told the PAP agency, reports Reuters.

The bridge connecting Russia with the annexed peninsula of Crimea was once again the target of an attack carried out by naval drones.

Belarus said Friday that instructors from the Russian mercenary force Wagner were training its troops, following weeks of uncertainty about the future of the group after its failed mutiny in Russia.

The short-lived rebellion was ended by a deal under which some Wagner fighters and their outspoken leader Yevgeny Prigozhin were supposed to move to Belarus.

Authorities in North Macedonia said Monday that 10 men were arrested as suspected members of an international people smuggling ring following an investigation that lasted nearly two years.

Knezevic was arrested as part of a large-scale investigation of police links with the notorious Kavac drug gang, which has led to 12 current and ex-police officers' arrests and to national warrants for the arrest of three others.
