Siemens to build new London Tube trains
A division of Germany's Siemens has been awarded a contract worth about 1.5 billion pounds ($2 billion) to design and build 94 new trains for the Piccadilly Line on London's metropolitan train network, known as the Tube.

Sadiq Khan to Ban Junk Food Advertising on London Transport to Tackle Child Obesity
Independent - Junk food advertising will be banned from London's tube and bus network, under plans put forward by the city's mayor that steal a march on Theresa May.
Sadiq Khan said the move was necessary to curb the "ticking timebomb" of child obesity, which has left almost 40 per cent of 10 and 11-year-olds in the capital overweight or obese.

Uber stripped of London licence, plans to appeal
London stripped Uber on Sept. 22 of its licence to operate from the end of next week in a huge blow to the taxi service and 3.5 million users in one of the world's wealthiest cities.
The capital's transport authority said the Silicon Valley technology giant was not fit and proper to hold a private vehicle hire licence and it would not be renewed when it expires on Sept. 30.

London's transport regulator on Friday stripped Uber [UBER.UL] of its license to operate from the end of the month, affecting over 40,000 drivers in a huge blow to the taxi app, Reuters reported.
