At least 100 injured in Lirr Train Crash at Atlantic Terminal

 

A Far Rockaway-based Long Island Rail Road train crashed Wednesday morning at Atlantic Terminal in Downtown Brooklyn, leaving more than 100 people injured.

 
According to the New York City Fire Department, of the 103 people with reported injuries, none of them has life threatening wounds.

Attacker in Berlin Metro Arrested in Germany

Police in Germany has detained the attacker in the Berlin metro - 27-year old Svetoslav Stoykov.

He was arrested at his arrival at the central bus station in Berlin.

Stoykov was detained while still on the bus, announced the police.

At present, Stoykov is being interrogated. It is expected that he will be indicted tomorrow.

Istanbul's new airport wins design award in Berlin

Istanbul's planned new airport has received a design award at the World Architecture Festival in Berlin.      

The Infrastructure - Future Projects Award went to lead designer of the under-construction airport Scott Brownrigg and original designers Grimshaw, Nordic and Haptic. The architects Fonksiyon and TAM/Kiklop were also honored for their work on the project.      

Train Crashes Into New Jersey Station

A commuter train from New York barreled into a New Jersey rail station during the Thursday morning rush hour, causing serious damage to both the train and station, injuring more than 100 people and killing at least one, officials said.
TV footage and photos from the scene show damage to the rail car and extensive structural damage to the Hoboken station.

PM opens 5.6-kilometer-long stretch of Corridor 10 highway

Aleksandar Vucic on Monday opened a 5.6-kilometer-long stretch of the Corridor 10 highway from Grabovnica, near Leskovac, to Grdelica.

The prime minister spoke during the ceremony to say that works on a highway "from the Macedonian border and Presevo to Subotica or to Sid" will be completed by this time next year, Tanjug reported.
