EPP Group Chairman Urges Formation of Center-Right Gov't

European People's Party Group Chair Joseph Daul met leaders of conservative GERB party and right-wing Reformist Bloc, but also two parties to the left of the political spectrum.

During his visit to the Bulgarian capital on Tuesday Sofia Daul called on political parties to forge a center-right government.

Borisov Juggles Coalition Options in Bulgaria

Boyko Borisov, whose centre-right GERB party came top in the recent general election, is ready to give ministerial posts to other parties in exchange for their support, he said in an interview.

Borisov told the Pressa daily that he was willing to make compromises in exchange for support for his government, but would not accept conditions for posts.

Bulgarian Opposition GERB Expells MP Daniel Georgivev

GERB, Bulgaria's center-right opposition, has expelled its lawmaker Daniel Georgiev from the party.

The move was unanimously backed by GERB's executive committee, as the Deputy Chair of its parliamentary group, Tsetska Tsacheva, told the Bulgarian National Radio.

Bulgaria's GERB Approaches Const Court over 'President' Committee

Bulgarian opposition party GERB has filed a complaint with the Constitutional Court over a temporary committee set up by Parliament unofficially targeting the President.

Out of GERB's 94 MPs, 71 have signed the document claiming that the committee is violates the Constitution of Bulgaria, as Dariknews.bg reports.
