Ankara launches probe into killing of Turkish-US activist

Ankara has opened an investigation into the death of a 26-year-old Turkish-American activist fatally shot by Israeli forces while protesting settlements in the occupied West Bank.

"We will conduct studies to prepare a report," Justice Minister Yılmaz Tunç said at an event in the capital Ankara on Sept. 12.

Türkiye bans game platform Roblox over child abuse concerns

Turkish Justice Minister Yılmaz Tunç has announced the closure of the online gaming platform Roblox due to content that could potentially lead to child abuse.

The decision, which affects a platform used by millions of children, took effect on Aug. 7 by a court in the southern province of Adana as part of an ongoing investigation.

Minister sets year-end deadline for judicial reform document

Justice Minister Yılmaz Tunç has revealed that preparations for the strategy document for judicial reform are on track to be completed by the end of the year.

Tunç made this announcement during a meeting organized by Atatürk University Faculty of Law students in eastern Erzurum city on Nov. 6.

Euro court fines Turkey for fining singer due to speech in concert

The European Court of Human Rights has fined Turkey 4,250 euros for fining a singer for his speech in a concert without any trial despite his demand to stand trial.

Ferhat Tunç Yoslun, a Turkish national singer, was fined with charges of having made comments during his performance at an authorized concert on Aug. 4, 2003.
