Turkish CN-235 violates Greek airspace 16 times!

Two Turkish fighter jets violated Greek airspace after a CN-235 reconnaissance airplane had earlier entered into Greek airspace 16 times, Monday. The CN-235 plane flew over the north, central and south Aegean, while two more infringements of the Athens FIR had also been recorded. The Turkish aircraft were intercepted in compliance to international law by Greek jets.

Breaking: Two more Turkish fighter jets fly over Imia

Following a flurry of activity over the eastern Aegean islets of Imia by the Turkish air force Wednesday morning after the Greek Defence Minister threw a wreath in commemoration of the 21st anniversary of the Imia crisis resulting in the death of three air force officers, two more F-16 fighter jets passed over the region at an altitude of 23,000 feet.

Top soldier visits Syrian border, İncirlik Air Base

Turkish Chief of General Staff Gen. Hulusi Akar has visited the units in the southeastern province of Gaziantep and the southern provinces of Kilis and Adana near the Syrian border in order to carry out examinations and inspections. Land Forces Commander Gen. Salih Zeki Çolak and Turkish Air Force Cmdr. Gen. Abidin Ünal accompanied Akar on his visit on Jan. 20.

Turkish fighter jets commit 6 more violations of Greek air space

Turkey is continuing to escalate its provocations against Greece, as five fighter jets of the Turkish Air force violated Greek air space 6 times and committed air traffic infringements, Friday. The violations and infringements took place over the south and north-east Aegean Sea, with two of the jets carrying armed weapons.

Turkey tests mid-range air defense system

The Turkish Defense Minister Fikri Işık has reviewed a test for Turkey-made medium-altitude air defense missile Hisar-O which is expected to meet the needs of the Turkish Land Forces Command.         

"We have many systems developed by Roketsan and Havelsan corporations," Işık told the project's engineers after a test was conducted in the Central Anatolian province of Aksaray.
