Turkey wants to cut industrial sector power bills by launching a project to produce energy savings and by using more efficient motors, the Turkish Industry and Technology Minister announced on Jan. 14

Boeing and Turkish Technic Inc., the maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) arm of Turkish Airlines, have announced a global fleet care supplier agreement.

Turkish Airlines Technic, which is also dubbed Turkish Technic, and Turkish Aerospace Industries (TAI) have signed a protocol to cooperate in various aviation fields, mainly in civil airplane part manufacturing, repair and maintenance and fighter jet maintenance and modification.

Turkish carrier BoraJet Airlines has announced the temporary suspension of operations for a restructuring process to prepare itself for Istanbul's new airport, the firm said in a statement April 24.

The company's ownership was recently changed and Turkish private equity firm SBK Holding acquired the local carrier late in 2016 from U.S.-based Turkish businessman Yalçın Ayaşlı.

Turkish Technic, the maintenance arm of Turkish Airlines, has signed a service contract with the country's air force, the company said on Dec. 30.        

Turkey?s Cengiz Holding, one of the partners of the consortium that will build the Istanbul?s huge new airport, has won the tender to build the marine hydro-technic structure for Turkey?s first nuclear power plant in Akkuyu, in the south of the country, the company announced on April 7.
