The Ankara 19th High Criminal Court on Dec. 13 ordered the continued detention of former Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) co-chair Selahattin Demirtaş.

The Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) leader issued a circular note to his party organizations on Nov. 1, in which he said the party would run in the elections alone without any alliance, but party members must act in line with the nature of the "People's Alliance" formed with the ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP).
