Operations conducted to detain 41 Istanbul Technical University academics over Gülen links
Detention warrants were issued on Jan. 20 for 41 academics at Istanbul Technical University (İTÜ) over alleged links to the Gülen network, after the suspects were identified as users of the Bylock application.
After the warrant, simultaneous operations began in 10 provinces to apprehend the suspects.
Erdoğan warns judges over Gülenist informants
Suspects arrested over links to the Gülenist network who have become confessors to benefit from commutation are not telling the truth, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan said on Jan. 18 at a meeting with members of the Association of Unity in Justice.

A 16-year process explaining it all
It was year 2000 and a coalition government was ruling made up of three parties, DSP-ANAP and MHP. The prime minister was late Bülent Ecevit and the Deputy Prime Minister was Devlet Bahçeli.
That year, Ankara State Security Court opened a case against Fethullah Gülen. He was charged with "toppling the Republic of Turkey."

Turkish Authorities Issue Arrest Warrants for 380 Businessmen
Turkish prosecutors have issued arrest warrants for 380 businessmen, reported Reuters.
They have been indicted on charges of having provided financial assistance to the network of Fethullah Gulen, who is claimed to be responsible for the organised coup attempt which killed 240 people.
Suat Kılıç is the Gülen-linked former minister who threatened official, Yeni Şafak claims
Turkey's former Youth and Sports Minister Suat Kılıç is the individual who in 2013 threatened an official who later became the Education Ministry undersecretary, daily Yeni Şafak claimed on Jan. 2, adding that Kılıç cited links to Fethullah Gülen in his threat.
Turkish undersecretary says he was threatened by Gülenists over promotion in 2013
An Education Ministry undersecretary said on Dec. 31 that he was threatened not to accept the promotion that brought him to his current post back in 2013 by a minister of the time, who added that if he did accept the promotion he would be "humiliated."
Chief adviser to CHP head detained in Gülen probe
The chief adviser for Republican People's Party (CHP) leader Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu was detained early on Dec. 6 as part of the ongoing investigation into the Gülen movement, which is accused of orchestrating the failed coup attempt of July 15.

Court rules for house arrest for former justices in Gülen probe
Three former members of the Supreme Council of Judges and Prosecutors (HSYK), to be tried over links to the movement of U.S.-based Islamic preacher Fethullah Gülen, were ordered to be kept under house arrest and wear electronic bracelets, pending trial on Nov. 29.
