Council for Electronic Media Suspends TV7, News7, Super 7 Licenses
The council for Electronic Media has suspended the licenses of TV7, News7 and Super 7, announced BNR.
Four of the five members of the media regulator voted for the motion. The proposal was made by Betina Zhoteva. The Chairman of CEM, Mariya Stoyanova, argued for the decision.
Praimedia Services Withdrawing from Deal on Bulgaria's TV7
Burgas-based Praimedia EOOD on Tuesday announced it was pulling out of a deal it signed this spring to buy TV7, Super7 and News7 TV stations.
The company cites, in a statement quoted by BGNES wire service, "refusal" by the state to register its new owners over alleged non-compliance with with the Commerce Act of the Republic of Bulgaria.
Bulgaria Police Detain 2 Endangered Turtle Eaters
Two Bulgarian citizens who cooked 17 endangered turtles and ate them have been arrested in the country's southern town of Krumovgrad, police say.
The detainees, aged 59 and 26 respectively, have been charged with trying to exterminate an endangered species, according to private national TV7 channel.
No details about the exact species were immediately available.
