British TV journo jumps into Greek harbor to save man; then causes Twitter furor

A journalist for the British-based ITV network caused a minor furor this week with his Tweets relating how he jumped into the harbor of Rafina, east of Athens, to save an elderly man whose car plunged off the quayside.

Tom Bradby also claimed that the man committed suicide, while at the same time railing at what he described as inaction by coast staff at the port.

Australians are not the type of people who beat around the bush, pardon the pun in advance. They say what is on their minds…and sometimes show it too, as you will see in the marketing campaign of an Australian wine company. The video commercial, unfortunately did cause some outcry for its ‘poor taste’ (pardon the pun again) in use of words.

US astronaut Scott Kelly seems to have a special spot in his heart for Greece. The astronaut tweeted once more on his ‘beloved’ Greece, this time posting ‘To my good friends in Greece. Thinking about you. Hope you are having a great evening’. Who knows, it could be the perfect bird’s eye view of the Greek islands. In any case, thank you Scott.
