Tadej Pogačar world’s No.1 rider for 100 weeks

Slovenian rider Tadej Pogačar, two-times Tour de France winner, remains No. 1 in the world, topping the UCI men's road cycling world ranking for a continuos 90 weeks and 100 weeks in total.

Pogačar (UAE Team Emirates) has recently recovered from a wrist injury he sustained when he fell during the Liege-Bastogne-Liege race.

Pogačar wins Flanders for Monuments glory

Slovenian rider Tadej Pogačar (UAE Team Emirates) won the Tour of Flanders on 2 April, his fourth victory at long one-day races known as Monuments.

The two-time Tour de France winner won the race with a solo attack in the last twenty kilometres on the 274-kilometre race to finish 17 seconds ahead of last year's winner Mathieu van der Poel.

Cycling star Pogačar defends UAE Tour title

Dubai – Slovenian cycling star Tadej Pogačar, who rides for UAE Team Emirates, won the 2022 UAE Tour on Saturday after winning the race’s final stage to defend his title from 2021 and start the new season with a bang.

This is Pogačar’s second UAE Tour win in addition to two white jerseys for the best young rider in 2020 and 2021.

Pogačar winner of the Tour of Slovenia

Novo Mesto – Slovenia’s Tadej Pogačar has won the Tour of Slovenia, the country’s biggest cycling road race, after defending the leading position in the final stage from Ljubljana to Novo Mesto on Sunday.

This marks the 25th career victory for the 22-year-old UAE Team Emirates rider, who won last year’s Tour de France.

Ulissi wins fourth stage of Tour of Slovenia, Pogačar slated to win race

Sveta Gora – Italy’s Diego Ulissi (UAE Team Emirates) won the fourth stage of the 27th Tour of Slovenia on Saturday. Slovenia’s Tadej Pogačar, also a rider of UAE Team Emirates, was second and is expected to win the race tomorrow.

Third place went to Matteo Sobrero of Italy (Astana).

Champions had spoken, it’s now time for legs to do the talking

The 27th Tour of Slovenia officially kicked-off today in Ptuj and will finish on Sunday in Novo mesto. 139 cyclists from 20 teams - 4 of them are part of the elite World Tour - are on the start list. Special guests of the yesterday's press conference were Tadej Pogačar, Matej Mohorič & Diego Ulissi, and they all predict an exciting race.
 

Pogačar wins first race of season

Abu Dhabi – Following his victory of Tour de France last year, Slovenian cyclist Tadej Pogačar (UAE Team Emirates) started the new season off with a win. He completed the 7-stage UAE Tour, the first world series race this season, 35 seconds ahead of Adam Yates (Ineos Grenadiers) and 1:02 minutes ahead of Joao Almeida (Deceuninck-Quick-Step).

Cyclist Pogačar and 2004 handball team honoured for sporting achievements

Ljubljana- Tour de France winner Tadej Pogačar and the team that won silver at the 2004 European Men’s Handball Championships were honoured for their international achievements as the Bloudek Prizes, Slovenia’s top sports awards, were handed out in a virtual ceremony on Friday.
