Three killed, one injured in armed conflict in southeast Turkey
Three people were killed while one police officer was seriously injured when police attempted to detain people in the southeastern province of ??rnak's Silopi district, prompting resistance from neighborhood residents that included reported members of the youth wing of the outlawed Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK).
HDP deputy claims mules killed by Turkish military in Turkey's southeast
A deputy from the Peoples? Democratic Party (HDP) has claimed the Turkish military conducted an operation at the Uludere district of Turkey?s southeastern province of ??rnak early on June 30, killing many mules, while the ??rnak governorate said in a written statement 13 soldiers had been wounded in incidents in Uludere on June 29.
Prosecutor sees no need for probe on top general regarding Roboski massacre
An Ankara prosecutor has declared he sees no need for an investigation on Chief of General Staff Necdet Ãzel about charges of trying to sway the judiciary process regarding the Roboski (Uludere) massacre, which claimed 34 lives.
Ãzel was also accused of violating the confidentiality of the probe on the incident.
