Greek university entrance exams start
The nationwide exams for entrance into Greece's state universities, also known as the Panhellenic exams, started on Friday. University candidates were examined on the subject of Modern Greek.
Approximately 102,000 candidates have applied for 78,335 seats offered for undergraduate courses in institutions across the country.

Turkey's Higher Education Board denies reports of university entrance system change
The Higher Education Board (YÖK) on Dec. 19 denied reports that it is preparing to introduce a new system for high-school graduates' entry to university programs.
"There has not been any work from YÖK concerning the university admission system. There are no talks with any other ministry either, unlike what was asserted in the related news report," the YÖK stated.
World Bank contributes 200 mln euros to ROSE project implemented by Education Ministry
The World Bank's Managing Board approved, on Monday, a loan of 200 million euros for the project ROSE (Romania Secondary Education Project) aimed at increasing the chances for undergraduate students to finish higher education, which will be implemented by the Education Ministry for a period of seven years, a World Bank release informs.
