Stabilization of Unemployment in the EU in March at the level of 6%, Decrease in Bulgaria to 3.7%

Eurozone unemployment fell in March to a record low of 6.5% from 6.6% in February and below the unemployment rate of 6.8% a year earlier (in March 2022). This is the lowest unemployment rate in the eurozone since 1998 - just before the euro was launched in January 1999, according to data from the European official statistics agency Eurostat.

Seasonally adjusted unemployment rate in Romania rises to 5.1pct in July 2021

Seasonally adjusted unemployment rate in Romania advanced 0.1 percentage points from the previous month, to 5.1%, the National Institute of Statistics (INS) announced on Wednesday. According to INS, the male unemployment rate was 0.7 percentage points higher than the female unemployment rate.

Turkey's unemployment rate down to 13.2 pct in 2020

Turkey's unemployment rate dropped by 0.5 percentage points to 13.2 percent in 2020, the country's statistical authority said on March 22.

Last year, the number of unemployed people was 4.08 million, down from 4.4 million in 2019, TÜİK figures showed.

Meanwhile, the number of unemployed people - aged 15 and over - was 4.06 million last year, down from 4.4 million in 2019.

Eurozone jobless rates fall to 12-year lows

Unemployment in the eurozone fell to a 12-year low in February, the month before coronavirus containment measures began to be introduced widely across Europe.
The jobless rate was 7.3 percent in the 19 countries sharing the euro currency, the lowest level since March 2008, European Union statistics office Eurostat said on Wednesday.

Eurozone Unemployment Fell to 10-year Low in November

Unemployment in the eurozone fell in November, data showed on Wednesday, as joblessness in Europe neared pre-crisis levels, reports AFP. 

Eurostat said the jobless rate in the single currency area fell to 7.9 percent in November, a 10-year low and down from a revised 8.0 percent for the previous month.
