Business circles welcome government’s savings package
Business leaders have voiced support for the measures announced by the government aimed at reining in spending and boosting efficiency in the public sector, saying that the package will contribute to the fight against inflation.
The savings package was unveiled by Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz and Finance Minister Mehmet Şimşek on May 13.
Int’l banks do not expect change in economic policies
In their assessments on the outcome of the March 31 local elections, Deutsche Bank and Goldman Sachs argued that the government is unlikely to change its economic policies.

New company launches up 28 percent
The number of newly launched companies increased by 27.8 percent in September from a year ago, the Turkish Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges (TOBB) announced on Oct. 21.
Last month, more than 13,000 new companies were established, compared to 10,200 businesses launched in the same month of 2021.

New company launches up 24 percent
The number of newly launched companies increased by 23.7 percent in June from a year ago, the Turkish Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges (TOBB) announced on Aug. 19 in a report.
Last month, more than 8,300 new companies were established, compared with 6,700 businesses launched in the same month of 2021.

New company launches up 26 pct in April
Some 8,565 new companies were launched in April, marking a 25.5 percent increase from a year ago, data from the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) showed on May 27.
But, the number of newly established companies declined by 3.9 percent from March.

More than 109,000 new companies established
A total of 109,695 new companies were established in Turkey last year, according to a monthly report released by the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) on Jan. 21.
The number of newly established companies increased by 8.5 percent compared to 2020, the report showed.

Finance minister meets with business world
Treasury and Finance Minister Nureddin Nebati has said he had a "fruitful" meeting with the representatives of the business world in Istanbul.
"We held a productive meeting today with our representatives from the business world, the real sector and [nongovernmental organizations] NGOs," Nebati wrote on his Twitter account on Dec. 11 after the meeting.
