Stevanovic, Faremo: Serbia-UNOPS cooperation successful

BELGRADE - State Secretary of the Serbian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Nemanja Stefanovic on Thursday received Grete Faremo, Under-Secretary-General and Executive Director of the United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS), who is on a three-day visit to Serbia.

They discussed current UNOPS activities and projects as well as possibilities for further improvement of cooperation.

UNOPS official visiting Serbia

Serbian Ministry of Foreign Affairs State Secretary Nemanja Stevanovic met on Thursday in Belgrade with UNOPS official Grete Faremo.

According to the Serbian government, Stevanovic and Faremo - who is under-secretary-general and executive director of the UN Office for Project Services (UNOPS) - spoke about "further improvement of cooperation with that office."

Dacic: Serbia appreciates UNOPS support

BELGRADE - Serbia appreciates highly the work of of the UN Office for Project Service (UNOPS), Serbia's Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic has said and thanked UNOPS Executive Director Grete Faremo for support.

The total value of UNOPS projects in Serbia since 2010 is EUR 65 million, he said at a reception at the Belgrade City Hall on Monday.

Director of UNOPS visits Serbia

BELGRADE - Serbia's Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dacic met in Belgrade Monday with Executive Director of United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS) Grete Faremo and thanked her for the organization helping Serbia recover form the devastating flooding that had hit it in 2014.

Minimum EUR 24.6 mln to go to least developed municipalities

NOVI PAZAR - Over the next three and a half years,the European Union and the governments of Serbia and Switzerland will set aside at least EUR 24.6 million in support of the development of 34 local self-government authorities in southeastern and southwestern Serbia through the European Progress Programme,the signatories of a grant agreement said on Wednesday.
