United States Holocaust Memorial Museum

The National News Agency AGERPRES concluded on Wednesday a partnership agreement with the Elie Wiesel National Institute for the Study of the Holocaust in Romania and the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum (USHMM) in order to establish, implement and disseminate information and activities dedicated to history and understanding of the Holocaust.

At a meeting with representatives of the US Holocaust Memorial Museum (USHMM) on Monday, Secretary of State for Euro-Atlantic Bilateral and Strategic Affairs George Ciamba with Romania's Foreign Ministry (MAE) reconfirmed Romania's constant commitment to tackling discrimination, anti-Semitism and Holocaust denial.

The Wiener Library for the Study of Holocaust and Genocide made the UN's files on WWII war crimes more accessible on April 21 by allowing the general public to search an online catalogue of the documents for the first time.

However, people will have to visit the library in London or the US Holocaust Museum to see the actual files.

Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras visited the museum of the Holocaust to pay tribute to the victims of Nazi on his visit in Israel.
