Ig prison inmates active in beekeeping
Ig – The Urban Beekeeper Association and the Slovenian Prison Administration started a project this spring at the open ward of the prison in Ig as part of which inmates are being taught all about beekeeping. The project dubbed Honey Cell is a part of the European project Food Systems in European Cities (FoodE).

According to unofficial data from the association of beekeepers in Varna region, more than 200 bee families have been poisoned from the uncontrolled spraying with plant protection products.
Beekeepers are extremely concerned that they do not understand the large tenants who claim to have used selective varieties of plants that are self-pollinated and do not need bees.
Beekeepers are Protesting
National protest of beekeepers will be organized on Tuesday at 13:00 at the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Forestry, reports inews.

Za Zemiata's DIY Contest Awards 19 Green Ideas with Micro Finance
A total of nineteen project applications have been approved for funding in the Do-It-Yourself Contest 2015 organized by Za Zemiata, one of Bulgaria's largest non-profit environmental organizations.
The contest aims to prove that anyone who has a brilliant idea, puts in some effort, and is provided with financial assistance can introduce "green" changes to the place they live in.
