End-February budget figures looking good

Budget deficit at RSD 33.4 billion in first two months
BELGRADE - The budget deficit amounted to RSD 33.4 billion in the first two months of 2014, while only in February it stood at RSD 26.4 billion, the Ministry of Finance announced on Thursday.
In February, Serbia made revenues of RSD 58.8 billion, and expenditures of RSD 85.2 billion, not factoring in revenues and expenditures of indirect budget beneficiaries.
VAT Fraud Robs Bulgaria's State Budget of BGN 2B Annually
Bulgaria's state budget loses BGN 2B annually due to VAT fraud, according to data of the Economic Research Institute with the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences.
Taking into account the uncollected excise duty, losses swell up to BGN 4B per year, the Director of the Institute Prof. Mitko Dimitrov said, cited by Cross news agency.

Budget deficit at RSD 7 billion in January
BELGRADE - The deficit in the Serbian budget in January this year was RSD 7 billion, the Ministry of Finance has stated.
Budget revenue was RSD 72.2 billion and expenditure RSD 79.2 billion.
This information does not include the revenue and expenditure of indirect budget users, the ministry said.
Tax revenue was RSD 65.3 billion and non-tax revenue was RSD 6.3 billion.
