Greek singer Despina Vandi will take the sttage as part of the 7th International Clarinet Festival in Istanbul. The world's best-selling Greek artist, Vandi will be on stage at the Harbiye Cemil Topuzlu Opemn Air Theater on Sept 17.

The host of the show, Giorgos Liagas couldn’t hold back and asked her “Despina, you look gorgeous today, what have you done? Your bust is also quite beautiful”.

Greek singer Despina Vandi has already announced that she will cast a leading role in the musical “Mamma Mia”. The very much loved musical will be performed at Acropol theatre in the fall. The rest of the casting crew are famous actors and artists, such as Alexandros Bourdoumis, Akis Sakellariou, Argyris Aggelou, Demy, Betty Maggira, Mariella Savvides and Aris Makris.

The A KAPI senior citizens choir of Ilioupoli, Athens, sang Greek popular singer Despina Vandi’s top hit “Ipofero” (I suffer). The song conjures images of unrequited love – perhaps even bondage – but these old ladies add another dimension to the song by performing it in their own way.
