The space in front of the St. Alexander Nevsky Cathedral becomes a car-free place.

A new organization of traffic is being introduced in the area closed between Tsar Osvoboditel Blvd., Narodno Sabranie Sq., Vasil Levski Blvd., Vasil Levski Blvd. roundabout, Gina Kuncheva Sq., Moskovska St. and St. G. S. Rakovski, announced the Metropolitan Municipality.

Gendarmerie and Police in front of the Turkish Embassy in Sofia, Protecting it from Protests

Gendarmerie and police forces are in front of the Embassy of the Republic of Turkey on the capital's Vasil Levski Boulevard.

There are 6 gendarmerie buses on site, a lot of police, a fire truck and an ambulance. The diplomatic car was taken out and left the building with two people inside.

New repairs close sections of key boulevards in Sofia.

The reconstruction of "Vasil Levski" Blvd. from "Tsar Osvoboditel" Blvd. to the monument "Vasil Levski" started today.

By August 23, it is forbidden to enter with vehicles on the eastern half of the roadway. The movement will take place in the western half of the boulevard roadway.

New Traffic Restrictions in Downtown Sofia due to Repairs

The movement on part of the central Sofia street "GS Rakovski" will be stopped for repair. It will be partly forbidden to drive cars along Vasil Levski Blvd parallel to this street. Changes in traffic are due to the two major repairs in the center of the capital. They will also lead to a change in the urban transport routes, announced Sofia Municipality.

More than BGN 41 million will be provided for repairs in Sofia under the Operational Program "Regions in Growth" for a total project worth more than BGN 46 million.
