Prominent Turkish industrialist and businessman Erdoğan Demirören, who was the founder of Demirören Holding, which is one of Türkiye's largest conglomerates, has been commemorated on the fifth anniversary of his death.

On June 8, 2018, Demirören lost his life in a hospital in Istanbul, where he received treatment for respiratory failure for a while at the age of 80.

Elif Karacaoğlu, the chief human resources officer (CHRO) of Demirören Media Group, has been added to the list of the country's most influential 50 human resource officers.

Demiören Holding has been growing in parallel with Turkey's growth, the holding's chairman Yıldırım Demirören has said.

A tournament named after the late businessman Erdoğan Demirören, the founder of Demirören Holding, was held over the weekend at the Kemer Country Golf Club in Istanbul.

Erdoğan Demirören, the late chair of the Demirören Group, will be laid to rest in Istanbul on June 10.
