Three men from Kosovo arrested in Venice, planned to blow up oldest bridge - report

Three men, who came from Kosovo, have been arrested in Venice, Italy. The daily La Repubblica writes that they are believed to be members of a terrorist group.

The police operation to arrest the three took place near the Fenice Theater. All suspect were staying in the country legally, while "at least two" worked as waiters.

Venetians protest over tourism

The beautiful Venice is the place to be if you are in love and in search of a romantic getaway. But for the 50.000 Venetians, living in a town with up to 60.000 tourists per day, it is not an easy situation. Venetians have been protesting with shopping trolleys and buggies against the hoards of tourists who visit the city every year.

St. Barbara’s relics on display in Greece from May 10-24

The sacred relic of Saint Barbara will be on display at the Greek Orthodox Church of Agia Varvara at the western suburb of Athens, Peristeri, from May 10 through to May 24. The relic will be welcomed by Archbishop Ieronymos of Athens and All Greece during a special ceremony when it arrives in Athens from the Venetian island of Murano.
