Egypt court again postpones verdict in Jazeera reporters' retrial
An Egyptian court on August 2 postponed for a second time its verdict in the retrial of three Al Jazeera journalists, rescheduling it for August 29 in a move the defendants called an insult.
'Nacional' Editor Slates Pukanic Verdict in Belgrade
Berislav Jelinic, editor-in-chief of Nacional and former colleague of Nacional's founder and editor Ivo Pukanic, expressed deep dissatisfaction with a verdict of a Belgrade court on Monday on Pukanic's killing.
The former editor was killed along with a co-worker, Niko Franjic, by a car bomb in Zagreb in October 2008.
Online privacy of spouses can be violated in some cases, top Turkish court rules
Turkey's Court of Appeals has ruled that a woman who infiltrated her estranged husband's email and Facebook accounts to prove to his family that he was cheating on her did not violate any laws, daily Miliiyet reported Dec. 5.
The verdict upheld a decision of a lower court that acquitted the woman who was sued by her husband, who she later divorced.
Manolada shooting verdict to be reviewed
The Supreme Court is to review the decision by judges in Patra to acquit two of the four men charged over the shooting of 28 migrant workers at a strawberry farm in Nea Manolada last year.

Mayor of Smederevo found guilty in corruption case
BELGRADE -- The Higher Court in the town of Smerevo has found Mayor Jasna Avramović guilty on charges of "extended criminal act of accepting bribes."
The court said that Avramović, a medical doctor by trade, enabled the granting of illegal pensions, and received money in return.
